Vitality Bowls, a superfood café known for its aça bowls and smoothies, has secured a lease with local entrepreneur Karthick Natarajan to establish in Charlotte.

Karthick anticipates opening in Summer 2022 at 1414 South Tryon Street, in the heart of South End Charlotte’s RailYard. Residents, professionals, and visitors will have access to a unique selection of nutrient-dense cuisine at the health-focused fast-casual restaurant. This will be North Carolina’s fourth Vitality Bowls café, joining existing locations in Cornelius and Greensboro and a new location in Huntersville.

Karthick, a yoga practitioner for over 15 years, is overjoyed to launch his café in Charlotte and provide the community with healthy and delectable culinary options. Vitality Bowls have a lot of promise in Charlotte, given the local need for healthy and nutritional options. He is looking forward to introducing Charlotte citizens to the full Vitality Bowls experience.

Vitality Bowls, situated in Northern California, has established itself as a market leader in the health food business during the previous decade. The stylish, vibrant cafés complement the restaurant’s one-of-a-kind variety of superfood menu items, rich with antioxidants and nutritional value.

Vitality Bowls franchise creates nutritious favorites on-demand for every meal of the day, utilizing the world’s largest selection of unique superfoods. Guests may select from various gourmet bowls, like the Dragon Bowl (made with pitaya, mango juice, coconut milk, bananas, pineapple, and raspberries) and the Vitality Bowl (made with organic aça, bananas, strawberries, and flaxseed). Additionally, all aça bowls and smoothies are prepared without adding ice, frozen yogurt, or artificial preservatives, resulting in the cleanest flavor imaginable.

Along with aça bowls and smoothies, the brand offers a comprehensive menu of warm and savory foods such as salads, grain bowls, paninis, wraps, and toasts packed with healthful ingredients a variety of superfood toppings. The Vitality Wrap, for example, is a crowd-pleasing combination of hummus, avocado, super greens, grains, roasted potato, radish, pickled red onion, lemon tahini vinaigrette, vegan garlic aioli, and superseed crunch wrapped in a tomato basil tortilla.

According to Tara Gilad, co-founder of Vitality Bowls, Karthick is the ideal candidate to expand the business in Charlotte. He embodies the brand’s values and supports offering great and healthy food options to the community.

There are currently over 122 Vitality Bowls locations open or in development across the United States. In 2011, Roy and Tara Gilad established the Vitality Bowls franchise in San Ramon, California. The couple founded the concept of the superfood café after discovering their daughter’s severe food allergies and the desire to find safe, healthful meal options. Since franchising began in 2014, the brand has expanded to over 122 open and developing cafés.
