Jersey Mike’s Subs, a popular sandwich chain, recently achieved a significant milestone by opening its first restaurant in Alaska, marking its presence in all 50 states of the United States. The expansion into Alaska, known as “The Last Frontier,” showcases the chain’s commitment to serving fresh sliced and grilled sub sandwiches nationwide.

Hoyt Jones, the President of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc., expressed his excitement about this achievement, stating, “We now have Jersey Mike’s locations in all 50 states.” The new Jersey Mike’s restaurant is situated at 1451 E Parks Highway in Wasilla, a city located about 40 miles north of Anchorage in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley (Mat-Su).

To celebrate the grand opening, franchise owner Fred Rosenberg organized a fundraiser to support Special Olympics Alaska, Mat-Su Community. Rosenberg emphasized the brand’s dedication to giving back to the communities they serve, saying, “Our goal is to make a positive difference in the communities and neighborhoods that we serve. It is our responsibility as a brand to give for the sole purpose of giving, and not to receive.”

Fred Rosenberg has ambitious plans to open two more Jersey Mike’s locations in Alaska within the same year. A South Anchorage location is expected to open by the end of June, while an Eagle River location is scheduled for late summer.
