In the world of fast-food dining, few names are as synonymous with bold flavors and affordable convenience as Checkers and Rally’s. As America’s #1 Double Drive-Thru brand, they’ve been satisfying the cravings of hungry customers for years. Now, they’re gearing up to bring their mouthwatering menu and unbeatable taste to Brunswick, Georgia, with the opening of a new restaurant.

Located at 5599 Altama Ave, this new Checkers and Rally’s restaurant in Brunswick is set to become a culinary hot spot in the community. Owned and operated by Valerie Babb and Danny Linderman, this establishment promises a fantastic dining experience that will delight local residents and visitors alike.

Valerie Babb’s journey to becoming a franchise owner with Checkers and Rally’s is a unique one. After pursuing a career in media and earning a PhD in Communication, she decided to join her father in the family business. Her father owned several Checkers and Rally’s locations in Georgia and Louisiana, and Valerie spent several years learning the ins and outs of the franchise model. In 2018, along with her business partner Danny Linderman, Valerie took the bold step of buying out the family business. Their goal was clear: to focus full-time on operating and expanding the brand’s footprint in Georgia. With over 40 years of experience in fast food, Danny Linderman was the perfect partner for this venture. In fact, he served as the first manager for the family business in South Georgia almost 30 years ago.

Currently, Valerie Babb and Danny Linderman own six Checkers and Rally’s locations in the state of Georgia, and Brunswick marks their seventh. Their commitment to serving excellence and taking care of their community is evident in their track record of success and expansion with the brand. They are excited about the upcoming opening and are eager to continue growing their portfolio with Checkers and Rally’s across southeast Georgia.

The new Brunswick restaurant is not only a testament to Valerie and Danny’s dedication but also highlights the continued growth and evolution of the Checkers and Rally’s brand. It features an updated prototype look and a simplified operating model, all designed to better serve the local community and provide an outstanding dining experience.

Robert Bhagwandat, Senior Director of Franchise Development at Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, expressed his excitement about Valerie and her team’s expansion into Brunswick. He praised them as proven operators and emphasized that Checkers and Rally’s seeks entrepreneurs who share their vision and passion for delivering outstanding food and service. Valerie’s journey is a shining example of this commitment, and the brand is confident in the restaurant’s reception within the community.

Founded in 1999 as a merger between two iconic brands, Checkers and Rally’s primarily operates through a proven franchise model. Franchisees benefit from the brand recognition, operational support, and marketing resources that come with being a part of this successful brand. Checkers and Rally’s franchise prospects can develop their restaurants on less than half of an acre, which is significantly smaller than many competing drive-thru concepts. This efficient use of space is just one of the many advantages that Checkers and Rally’s offers to its franchisees.

The brand’s current expansion strategy focuses on select markets throughout the United States, including Wisconsin, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Las Vegas, Arizona, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. With its flexible building formats and a commitment to delivering exceptional value and craveable food, Checkers and Rally’s is well-positioned for continued growth.

In recent years, Checkers and Rally’s has received several prestigious awards within the industry, including recognition in the Franchise Times Top 500, Entrepreneur Top 500, and Franchise Business Review’s “Satisfaction Award.” In 2023, they were honored as the “Top Food Franchise,” following up on their recognition as the “Most Profitable Franchise” in 2022. These accolades reflect the brand’s dedication to excellence and its ongoing commitment to franchisees’ success.

As the Checkers and Rally’s brand continues to expand and delight customers across the country, franchisees like Valerie Babb and Danny Linderman stand as shining examples of entrepreneurship and dedication. Their journey from media and management to successful franchise ownership demonstrates the exciting opportunities that Checkers and Rally’s offers to those who share their vision and passion for the fast-food industry.

Checkers and Rally’s is revving up its engines and hitting the fast lane to bring bold flavors and affordability to Brunswick, Georgia. With franchisees like Valerie Babb and Danny Linderman leading the way, the brand’s commitment to excellence and community service shines brightly. As they continue to grow and evolve, Checkers and Rally’s remains a force to be reckoned with in the world of fast-food dining.
