The 11-time World Series winner St. Louis Cardinals’ home stadium, Busch Stadium, will soon house the first Major League Baseball (MLB) location of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. The new eatery, which is owned and run by Delaware North Sportservice, will open on Thursday, March 30, when the Cardinals play their first game of the year against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Wichita-born concept’s out-of-the-ordinary location will offer a few of the fan-favorite menu items for the brand, including Freddy’s Original Double and Bacon Double. The menu will include Freddy’s well-known shoestring fries and cheese curds. With its smaller unit design, Freddy’s will give new and returning customers a chance to experience the brand in a handy setting by existing in unusual places like ballparks and airports.

Bill and Randy Simon, along with their buddy and business partner Scott Redler, co-founded Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® in 2002. Bill and Randy’s father, for whom it was called, was honored. Together, they created a brand that emphasized excellence, friendliness, sanitation, and time-honored customs.

Today, Freddy’s Family cooks fresh, made-to-order, crave-able food and serves it to our customers in a fun, welcoming atmosphere while exhibiting genuine hospitality.

“At Freddy’s, we firmly believe that being able to place our brand in high-traffic areas like that of Busch Stadium not only gives us the chance to draw new audiences but also capture sales,” said Andrew Thengvall, Chief Development Officer at Freddy’s. Freddy’s is grateful to have the opportunity to open a kiosk in Busch Stadium.

Vicki Bryant, the Cardinals Vice President of Event Services & Merchandising, said, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in bringing quality, crave-able food we know our fans will appreciate. The brand is a natural match for Busch Stadium because Freddy’s has several locations in the St. Louis region and has developed a devoted following there.

One of the fastest-growing chains in the United States, the brand serves cooked-to-order steakburgers, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, shoestring fries, and other savory items, as well as freshly churned frozen custard all day long in each location. As opposed to other burger and ice cream fast-casual eatery concepts, Freddy’s transports you to classic Americana. where food is always provided promptly and with a smile. Encouraging one another to develop and succeed is the rule rather than the exception!
