Subway®Subway Signs Largest Master Franchise Agreement in History to Expand Presence Canada recently ignited a vibrant celebration across local communities with their innovative “Yesway” tour. Embracing the nation’s fervor for sports and the culinary experience, Subway invited Canadians to embrace new adventures and tastes while showcasing the brand’s fresh take on the Subway® Series menu, brimming with bold and exciting flavors.

Throughout the Yesway tour, held in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal, Subway brought communities together in an exhilarating celebration of sports at all levels. The tour featured a star-studded lineup of Subway Canada ambassadors, including esteemed sports figures such as Toronto Raptors’ Scottie Barnes, Chris Boucher, soccer icon Christine Sinclair, and competitive skateboarder Fay De Fazio Ebert.

The core essence of the Yesway tour was to prompt participants to enter a booth, take a chance, and shout “YESWAY” to unlock unique and exclusive experiences with these Subway Canada ambassadors. It was a gateway to experiencing a whole new way of savoring Subway’s offerings.

Lisa Mazurkewich, Head of Marketing at Subway Canada, expressed her excitement, stating, “We’re bringing Yesway to Canadians from coast to coast and reconnecting with the country in ways that matter to them – through sport, through community – and conquering disbelief along the way. When Canadians say ‘no way’ to a revamped menu or new, craveable ingredients, we say ‘Yesway’.”

The tour introduced an exciting lineup of 15 chef-crafted sandwiches, enabling guests to sample the favorite subs of Scottie, Christine, and Fay. With offerings like the Stampede Brisket, Mozzarella Bella, and Suprimo, guests were treated to a whole new way to order and enjoy Subway’s culinary delights.

The tour’s events were nothing short of spectacular. In Toronto, the Subway Slampede witnessed a slam-dunk contest featuring rising star Toby Fournier, and the Hoop Queens, a local network providing opportunities to underserved female basketball players, engaging with Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher.

On the West Coast, the tour brought together youth soccer teams, Vancouver Whitecaps FC player Ryan Raposo, and local charity Hope & Health in a skill-testing competition, guided by Christine Sinclair, the G.O.A.T in soccer.

In Calgary, Subway surprised the 100% Skate Club, a place for women, girls, and non-binary skateboarders, with a thrilling trick competition led by 13-year-old skateboarder Fay De Fazio Ebert and Olympian Annie Guglia.

The Montreal leg of the tour saw Subway challenge sports fans to shout ‘Yesway’ for the chance to win courtside tickets to an NBA Canada Series game presented by Bell, along with other exciting prizes and experiences, bringing fans closer to the sports action they love.

Subway Canada’s commitment to sports and community was highlighted by Lisa Mazurkewich: “Whether you’re a pro, an amateur, or a first-time player, we believe that an investment in sport is an investment in the community.”

Moreover, Subway Canada aims to inspire more Canadians to embrace the “Yesway” spirit by offering an epic deal in partnership with PepsiCo. By using the promo code YESWAY when purchasing a Subway Series Sub, guests can add a bottled drink and chips for just $2, including options like an ice-cold Pepsi® Zero Sugar cola.

In a heartwarming gesture, Subway Canada presented donations to participating charities, including Hoop Queens, Hope & Health, and 100% Skate Club, to create opportunities for local youth to engage in sports, emphasizing that remarkable things happen when you say “Yesway!”

Subway® Restaurants, as one of the world’s largest quick-service restaurant brands, continues to serve freshly made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads, and bowls in nearly 37,000 restaurants across more than 100 countries and territories.
