So far, we have been talking about male franchisors. In this story, you will learn about Papa Murphy’s Franchisee Taylor Curry, who started working at Papa Murphy’s in Tucson, Arizona, from the age of 18. Today, her perseverance has paid off. She now runs a Papa Murphy’s pizza business in a Phoenix suburb.

As a crew member at Papa Murphy’s, Franchisee Taylor Curry got trained in baking pizzas the Papa Murphy’s way and washing dishes. Curry loved the experience after she knew what it was like to work at a coffee shop. With her determination and hard work, she grew up to the notice of the management and soon realized her ambition in licensing a Papa Murphy’s Franchise.

Jeff Sery, who too started his career with Papa Murphy’s, noticed Taylor’s potential in managing Papa Murphy’s independently. Papa Murphy’s was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs, and the brand already offered the Manager-to-Owner program, so he guided Taylor through the transition. For Taylor, Jeff was instrumental in her business growth, helping her accomplish her own identity; start her own business.

Taylor and Jeff created a business partnership in September 2020 after Taylor moved from Tucson and managed the Phoenix suburb store for almost a year. “The store is thriving,” Taylor says. I managed the store for about a year, and we had improved sales by 20%. When I became the owner, I jumped right in. It’s been fun to meet new people and improve my business.”

Taylor now supervises multiple employees, many of whom had no prior work experience. Taylor is dedicated to making her staff as happy as she was when she started at Papa Murphy’s. “I’ve worked hard to create a nice retail environment,” she says. “It feels like a circle. Now I’m encouraging and mentoring my employees. And I make sure kids practice gratitude and say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ to our guests. I make it fun for them. We create up games to get faster and better at what we do. Working with children is incredibly rewarding.”

Taylor is now focused on expanding her new business and is excited about her future with Papa Murphy’s. “I believe in the brand and the product,” she says. “I admire the business Support Center team’s strong future vision and the number of female leaders. Their assistance is second to none. Everyone is happy for me, and I want to make them proud by succeeding in my business. My future with this brand is bright, and I am excited to expand my business and build my relationships with my guests and community.”

Papa Murphy’s pizza franchise is a low-cost investment with significant development potential. You might consider joining the brand as it expands across the US. Initial investment prices range from $286,919 to $524,205 based on location, property condition, and building costs. Papa Murphy’s pizza franchise program was built to empower entrepreneurs like you.
