Renee Israel CFE is a voice to reckon with in the world of franchising where she has helped many turn their brand aspirations into reality. She is passionate about using her unique ability and enjoys advising or investing in emerging franchisors and suppliers serving the franchise community.

Renee is also the recipient of awards like the “Franchise Dealmakers Award” from the Franchise Times “Enterprising Woman of the Year Award” from Enterprising Women Magazine. She was also nominated for the final round as an “Outstanding Woman Leader in Business” by the Denver Business Journal.

Currently, Renee Israel, CFE,  is working as the Chief Franchise Officer at Modern Restaurant Concepts, a multi-brand restaurant platform, and as Founder, a.k.a., Mama Pop & Former CMO at Doc Popcorn, a franchised retailer of fresh-popped popcorn that she founded with her husband in 2003.

Modern Restaurant Concepts is a national multi-concept restaurant platform focused on better-for-you concepts. It owns two fast-casual restaurant brands, Lemonade Restaurant Group and Modern Market Eatery. With a combined 48 restaurants, Modern Restaurant Concepts has a national presence in the United States.

Doc Popcorn is the largest franchised popcorn retailer in the world. With its unique proprietary methods, Doc Popcorn handcrafts a wide variety of fresh-popped specialty flavors of popcorn. It was created to serve a remarkably tasty and healthier snack while empowering its franchise owners with a system to produce it that is extremely simple, efficient, affordable, and scalable.

Renee has conducted voluntary services too for the betterment of the community. She has served on the Women’s Franchise Committee, which promotes and provides resources for people seeking career growth opportunities in franchising. She was a Board Member at the YPO Boulder Integrated chapter, a Young Presidents’ Organization chapter to exchange ideas, experience, and education related to business management problems and support personal and community development. She served as a Board Member for the Bridgehouse, an organization that provides a range of programs and services to help upliftment of adults experiencing homelessness.

Renee’s experience includes big roles in various famous companies starting with Orange, One of the largest telecom providers in the world, EDS Group, an IT Services and IT Consulting company. She was also the Vice-President of Marketing at Digitas, where she provided leadership to category leaders including American Express, Allstate and The New York Times.

Renee Israel graduated from Gettysburg College, studying BA, focusing on French and Business in 1990, followed by a degree at Thunderbird School of Global Management in MIM / MBA with specialization in Marketing 1997 with honors. Additionally, she earned a certificate as Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) from the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives ICFE, issued in March 2020.
